Neon Netball
Nine brave Border Vet “Penthouse Pets” staff members braved the chilly June night to play in the first Neon Netball Fundraiser in Cohuna.
It was an all night netball marathon and our team was filled with a league Best and Fairest winner from the 60’s, current players, novices, and one Dr (who will remain anonymous) who was caught google searching the rules!
All the bruises, fatigue and frostbite was all worth it knowing that a special client of ours and other members in our community are battling the terrible plight of bowel cancer.
Walk the Paws for a Cause
Walk the Paws for a Cause held in April 2014 at the Barham Lakes. To raise money for our sponsor dog, Ronnapee, and other street dogs in Thailand, Border Vets hosted our first Dog Walk around the beautiful Barham Lakes. We raised a total of $2170 to go to Soi Dog Foundation. Soi Dogs rescue many street dogs, most have had a horrendous life and have sustained life-long physical and mental issues. They are also fighting the war against the meat and fur trade that is prevelent in many countries. These animals are brought back to health, vaccinated, speyed and loved by volunteers. We wish to thank the companies that sponsored our Gift Packs and raffle prizes, Lyppards, Kong, Troy.
Also a big thanks to all our 2 legged and 4 legged friends who attended and made this a great day.

Murray to Moyne Bike Race
The annual Murray to Moyne bike ride challenge was held earlier this year with the Cohuna and District Health team including our very own Dr. George Drummond peddling furiously. This was followed on May 30th by their major fund raising event for the year – The Trivia Night held at the Gunbower Complex. As usual Border Vet very happy to donate some minor prizes for the night. Proceeds from which go to the Cohuna & District Hospital.
Dr. Sara Archard was also in saddle, riding for the Kerang and District Health team. Both teams had a successful finish, and raised much needed funds for their local hospitals. Well done all round.
